Web Site: Running the Numbers
This site features a collection of art work by Chris Jordan. It is called “Running the Numbers: An American Self-Portrait“. The art is designed to show statistics of America’s impact on environment and society. Statistics alone may not be easily comprehensible to most of us. For example, when you hear that approximately two million plastic bottles are used in the US every five minutes or that 106,000 aluminum cans are used in the US every thirty seconds, exactly how much is that? This artwork helps to put a different perspective on it. If you are going about your daily life’s routines and don’t think you have an impact on society, think again.
