Web Site: HubbleSite
Here’s a web site for all things Hubble! The Hubble Space Telescope is one of the most significant achievements we have ever done in space. It has revealed so much about the universe we live in that we could never have seen without it. It has expanded our knowledge and understanding and its images will keep our astronomers busy for years to come. I remember doing a report on the telescope when I was still in high school back in 1990-1991! That is how long the telescope has been up there.
This site is very well laid out and tells you everything you want to know from Hubble’s history to discoveries to its vast image gallery. You can learn about various astronomical bodies, find out where Hubble is right now, learn how the Hubble telescope works, and read about the latest news. They even have information on the next generation telescope targeted to replace Hubble – The James Webb Space Telescope. It will be about the size of a tennis court and look even further out than Hubble can reach.
