Vacation: The Hotel Hershey
Located in Hershey, PA (known as “The Sweetest Place on Earth”), this hotel is themed after, what else, chocolate! The hotel is part of Hershey resorts which includes The Spa At The Hotel Hershey, Hershey Lodge, and Hershey Country Club. The hotel has been around since the 1930’s and is currently going through an expansion. Throughout the entire hotel there are hints of chocolate, including getting Hershey Kisses on your pillows during turndown. They also have the Chocolate Spa where you can get treatments like a Chocolate Fondue Wrap, Whipped Cocoa Bath, and a Chocolate Bean Polish. Throughout 2009, they will be opening a series of shops including the “Cocoa Beanery”, “Signatures” (Hershey logo items), and “Sweets”. Even the town itself has lots of chocolate overtures (i.e streetlights shaped like Hershey Kisses, street names like “Cocoa Avenue”). There’s also lots of exciting day trips you can take in the area in Harrisburg, Gettysburg, Lancaster County, Reading, and York.
If you are looking to satisfy your chocolate cravings for a weekend in a relaxing environment, I can’t think of a better place.
