Vacation: ICEHOTEL
I really don’t like cold and snow. But, even I would stay here just for the experience and adventure! Located in JukkasjÀrvi, Sweden, 200 km inside the Arctic circle, is the ICEHOTEL. It is rebuilt every year and open for business starting in early December for the first phase. As each section is finished, they are opened to the public for visits and overnight stays. This is extreme engineering at its absolute best. The ingenuity to be able to build a structure like this is truly amazing! Each year, they select artists from all over the world to help design each room in the hotel. One of the central features of the hotel is the ice bar, which always has a very unique design from year to year. They are also very environmentally conscious when building the hotel. All of the ice is used from the local Torne river. They also have plans to become CO2 negative by 2015. I would highly recommend a trip to the ICEHOTEL for the experience of a lifetime!
